I have heard that there is a type of liquid chemical that can be injected into the outcropping of bedrock that will expand and split the bedrock. has anyone heard of this? If not what is the most cost effective method of removing bedrock that is lying close to the foundations of your house?

Does anyone know where I can get a fairly easy kit for making a Gazebo (not the round wood ones that cost 4k) or Pergola/Shade Structure to cover my Bar in my back yard. Bought one from Wal-Mart and in 1 year the wind destroyed the material on top and the wooden frame. Now I'd like to put one in the ground that does not have any material to rip! Thx.

The sprayer, separate from the faucet, does not turn all the way off. It dribbles continually so I don't even use it any more. Is there any way I can repair it. By the way, it's relatively new and not inexpensive.

its a ariston advantage 2000 model. The other parts of the cycles are ok, wash, drain, dry. Only makes a noise during the 'spin'.

My cabinets, windows, and door are dark wood in my kitchen. The chair rail molding, baseboards, and cabinets are white. Counter tops are white but can easily change. I love the dark wood but will change for the right color scheme. I hate grays and drab colors. I love yellow but dont like the yellow/green combo.

I have just finished assembling a nice boat-themed sandbox for my daughter, which calls for some 600 pounds of sand. I have been told, however, that using sand will attract neighborhood cats, who will do what they do and fill that sandbox full of germs. What alternatives do I have? What other materials can I use, instead of sand, that won't attract cats?

Is there a website where you can get reviews or opinions of various cities around the country in terms of what it's like to live there? In other words, a sort of 'buyers guide' for where to live.

We want to buy a de-humidifier for our home, due to high temperatures, high humidity, and over-the-top electric bills. It seems that as soon as we step out of the shower we immediately start to sweat, so we crank the air conditioner down, and the A/C runs constantly! We were just wondering one of these would really help before we spend the money. Anybody know?

2 year old Craftsman Garage Door opener and door intermitantly opens and closes partway. Was fine for 1.5+ years. No obstuction. Balanced, Oiled, eye seems OK since the green light is constantly on on the sending side. I am going to play with some settings next such as up and down force. Will do reversal safety check afterwards. Track style, chain driven. It is a light door with newer style internal springs and seems balanced in any position. It does not roll effortlessly, but not too difficult to pull/push.
Door seams to reverse only when it should and is not too sensitive. The door just stops and does not move, until you push a button again, and then it either continues on or occasionally reverses. It seemed to work great for a dozen tries after oiling the hinges, but is up to its old tricks. Do you have other ideas or am I stuck calling a pro when it seems like only an adjustment is needed. Any advice from a handy person.
