We did call pest control and they told us the way to find out if we still had a snake is to put down flour on all of the doorways and around the beds, couches and places where it may travel. You will see "track" from the snake when it crosses the flour. I have had flour out for 3 days with not tracks!!! I'm going on vacation for a week and will put down fresh flour throughout the house (don't care about the mess!, will deal with that later) If now signs when I get back I will feel a whole lot better!! I would have never thought about the "flour thing"!!
Thanks for all of your help!!

Call an exterminator and tell him what you found.

You'll need to contact a pest control company, and try to find where the snake is coming in. Look around your pipes to make sure you don't have holes around the pipes (example...the sink, lavatory). These holes can easily be covered with some foam that you can buy in a spray bottle at a hardwear store. There is no telling if the snake is inside or has left for good. A snake will shed several times a year, what I understand. And you may have baby snakes under your house...unless your house is on a cement slab. Call a pest control company and he can take care of the problem for you, and give you hints on keeping pests out. You may have a mouse or a rat problem also that may be attracting snakes. Best of luck to you..........

If you found it by a window, it might of came in that way, so keep windows close. Look up Snake Skin, and find out what kind of snake it is. And if it is harmful or not, if it isn't, then you should have nothing to worry about.

Chances are that the snake has moved on now that it is summer. Depending on where you found the skin, you have no reason to worry. If you found the skin in the attic or basement the snake has probably already found a new and better place to live.

First and foremost: RELAX. They are more scared of you then you are of them. Secondly, they shed periodically, maybe once or twice a year. If you didn't find any other skins, it's a loner. It probably was just in your house for a little while, and now it's gone. If you are still worried about it, put some rat poison in your basement or in a corner where there isn't much foot traffic. It will be gone within a month. Take care and take heart!

dont worry as long as u dont disturb it they wont harm u either... 2 feet long snake huh... there are many non venomous snakes about 2 feet length n thr are also venomous snakes about the same size but how did that peeled skin look like? look over the head part about the width of the skin n lemme know asap... dont worry alrite jus call up for someone experienced with snakes. i wont usually suggest killing a snake but for your safety if thats the last resort ask someone else to do it. jus to be on the safer side dont sleep in any dumped or closed places. make sure where u sleep is clean n there isnt any any place that it can hide. they usually look for dark areas or some kind of tube structures lying around. do u understand wat m saying? clean all your surroundings n take the carpet out of the floor put it outside the house rolling it (if u have)... you mite find it taking refuge inside the carpet next morning. so dont worry. u dont have to worry as long as u understood wat i said. make sure u have a strong club or stick or something with u jus incase u see it...

you should call a plumber to make sure everything is sealed good so snakes can't come in in the future . look under all sinks to see if there are any openings. if you found a skin it is probably in your house , i would call pest control to bomb it or something , probably inside a wall or somewhere you would never find it

People would be amazed and probably shaken at how often and how many snakes live in and around most houses. Your snake is almost certainly harmless and it will take care of rodents and insects and other much nastier pests.

snakes only shed about once a month. what you sould do to make sure it is gone is you should call someone like a house ispector or call a snake store or somthing and they will come and check over your house to see if it is still there. it probably didnt have babies though.

I found two already and the only help I have gotten is to be told to buy snake traps. They are very large glue traps like you use with mice but you can pour vegetable oil on them and it will release the snake.

snakes are cold-blooded so look in warm places or look where there is access to water. I'd do a preliminary look around...armed with a broom, of course...before calling the pest control people. it might not be in your house anymore...if there are no food sources (mice, lizards, etc) it will move on.
