You are getting too much organic material in the pond. You will need to clean it very well and get better filtration. Put some types of physical barriers to keep leaves etc. out and this may help. If there are fish in the pond I would take them out and put them in water drawn from the pond. Then clean the pond walls thoroughly. Then return the fish and the water to the pond with the new filtration. Good luck.

Remove the water. Clean the pond. Buy some algie tablet at the pond store and put in it with clean water to fill up the pond again. The pond need some shade or algie will grow really fast with too much sunlight.

Take a water sample to your local pond store (they often have pond centers in larger nurseries or local-not national chain-home stores). They can anlyze the water, tell you exactly where you went wrong, and how to fix it. If you don't have a pond center, try an aquarium shop, they also sell pond chemicals and are knowledgeable about ponds since the requirements for a pond & a freshwater cold aquarium are similar.
