use the Hot water hook up for your washer. or hook the hose up directly to your hot water heater. We do that once or twice a year to flush out the hot water heater. Your going to get the same amount of hot water either way dependig on the size of the hot water heater.

If my math memory is correct, a 9' pool filled with 1 foot of water will take about 400+ gallons. A typical waterheater in a house holds 40 gallons, 30 of which are hot at any given time. Filling up a pool from your water heater is not only going to be expensive but time consuming.

Unless you have a super size hot water tank the ideas stated here won't do you much good in filling a swimming pool. You need to let the sun do the warming.

Easiest is to install an inline heater. Also plumb a line all the way from your inside hot water source. Both are a little costly. Inline heater may be less labor and eliminate the need for draining an additional line in winter.

Using a waterbed adapter you can connect your hose to your kitchen sink and run the hose out of the window.Plenty of hot water that way.:)

Take the hose inside and hook it up to the hot water faucet of your washing machine. I do this all the time!
