Worked appliances for two years... if the noise doesn't stop after the clothes are repositioned then it sounds like something is either trapped between the drum and the side wall or the belt may be off course a bit and wouldn't be noticed until the drum is spun at a high speed. If you have some one handy have em check it out... most washers have lower front panels that can be removed others have to be laid on it's back ONLY and serviced from the underside.

Most washing m/c do give a louder sound during the spin as the rotations are faster.
Presuming all systems are in working order, then there is the issue of overloading or under-loading. An indication is if the m/c moves from its original position.
Level of the m/c on its legs is also important.

first.. did the machine make the same type of noise when you first started using it.. during the spin cycle the washing machine always make that noise(mine does, i got another one and it was the same noise) so it can be something normal.. but most importantly if it makes a completely different noise now then before.. you should think about notifying someone to come and check it out...

The rattle during a spin is caused by the clothing inside being unbalanced. You need to distribute the amount and weight of the clothing evenly when you put clothing in. Also, don't put too much in at one time as it will not only result in this loud knocking, but it will cause you clothes to get wrinkled.

Sounds like the clothes aren't loaded evenly. Try opening the door/lid and move the clothes around a bit.

do a test run with no washing in the machine, if there is still a noise there must be something loose.

you could have something stuck in the drum, this requires taking off the back and the element at the bottom and hunt around. Or your bearing's may be going.
