How can I clean my windows without leaving smears?
Someone suggested using vinegar in the water. How do I do this and do I need to put anything else in with it?

I have winds 5 - 10 MPH normally and am wondering if it's worth it to get wind turbines. I figure that solar panels would work better in the tropics.

Some of our adult couple friends and family have houses that look as if nobody lives in them. If anything gets moved out of place, they move it back ASAP. They have little interesting in their homes, and none of the kids want to visit them. Others are so cluttered & messy, but the kids seem to LOVE these places. Our own home is somewher in between, depending on the time of year. When I get critized by all the Ms. Spotless, I try to explain. Should I need to explain?
Should they accept what they get, or do I need to clean more than we normally do?

Local nurseries are in business to sell stuff. Every garden question I have always come with some product they have to sell. I call it my $20 answer. The people at answers have been great. Thank you. Unfortunatly what does well for you in New York or Denver isn't much help to me where I live down here by the Mexican boarder in California. I am in need of answers that will help in my back yard. Answers without a price tag. Any suggestions? Thanks to all you wonderful gardeners where ever you live!

I was told you can buy zone 3 friendly plants in Canada if you plant it in a galvanized can and plant it in the garden. Just wondering if this really works.

We are about to buy a washer dryer combination and we wanted to see if they would throw in the extended warranty (just $90). Has anyone ever negotiated with Home Depot for such things?
