Can you negotiate pricing at Home Depot?

Question

We are about to buy a washer dryer combination and we wanted to see if they would throw in the extended warranty (just $90). Has anyone ever negotiated with Home Depot for such things?

Home Depot's customer service sucks!!!!!!!

We needed to get a key made at their lil key station. No one was working the station so we waited there and asked a couple of associates if we can get some help. They kept assuring us that they'll call someone to help. We waited about a half hour. Then later the manager came, did NOT apologize for the delay, did not even say hi, made the key, and told us to pay for it at checkout. Then I said, what kinda crap service is this?? And he's like what? And I said we waited for 30 minutes blah blah blah and complained about the service and all he did was shrug his shoulders, and walked off. As he walked off, I yelled out THIS IS BULLSHT!! the end.... i don't care if i was outta line, hope depot pisses me off.

There are a few ways to save money. First if you are a contractor making a large sale, the Pro Desk can submit a quote for "bid room" pricing, which can be significantly less than the everyday price. Second there's the low price guarantee, if you find the exact same merchandise at a competitor, the price will be matched and an additional 10% is reduced. Finally, if the product is not in stock, you can probably get the upgraded product for the same price as the out of stock item.

I have... when you find it at the same or lower price somewhere eles they give you 10% off of that price. So 10% you can. Ask them about it they do it here in Kentucky anyway.

Nope. Though if you spend enough they will give you a gift card or a rebate on your purchase

Probably not unless you can find a better deal elsewhere, then it's possible, but otherwise no.
