I was told you can buy zone 3 friendly plants in Canada if you plant it in a galvanized can and plant it in the garden. Just wondering if this really works.

If you plant these in galvanized pts , it gives them the asid they nedd and are grown for zone 3. I have never heard of them being poisionous but I will keep that in mind. Thank you

rhodedendrons cannot live in such climate you might be talking about a different type of flower. Rhodedendrons like acid soils with some shade, best grown with mulches with slow release nutrient dyes. Almost forgot rhodedendrons are also not friendly plants they are considered erritants or poisonous, some of them are used in bug killer sprays as well.
