Circuits were all checked, turned off and on, that didn't work. The electricity came back on by itself in time.
What would cause this to happen.

I'm building a wall with natural quarry stone on an existing cement block skeleton, and I'm using playsand as filler (flows nicely, no stones). I need a cement that sets quickly, doesn't shrink, and doesn't cause grey/white "blooming". What is the difference between "type 10", "hydraulic cement", and "non-shrink grout"?

We moved into a house 2 yeas ago that had rotten bay window sills. We had replacement windows put in, but we just discovered that water is still getting in as we noticed water coming down the wall under the window on the inside. There is no overhang, so water beats the sill. My question is if this has been happening for years, I'm afraid the wall inside is rotten. Is there a way to know? Who do I call to check and fix?

Our front door to the house has a crack that runs almost the full length of the door. The crack is probably about an eight of an inch in size.

How can I go about sealing this crack? The front door is made of wood and stained with a red color (I'm not sure how I would match this color again).

Thank you

I have a cracked tile in my shower. Without removing the tile is there any effective way I can seal it so that it doesn't leak. I have tried refixing it but because it sits behind the tray any movement pulls it away again. I don,t really want to replace the tile if I can help it because I would have to take out the tray and re seal everything.

I'm thinking about it myself. I've got the time, (some of) the money and some of the skills, I plus i'd like to be able to achieve something I can be proud of. Have you ever thought about it, attempted it or actually achieved it? I'd be interested in hearing about it....

I would like to paint a large world map onto one of the walls in my boys bedroom, I really believe that kids should know about other countries and where they are etc, plus my kids are really interested in this.
Does anyone know where I can get a large worldmap stencil or any other ideas on how to get the map on the wall reasonably accurately? Any other suggestions on further brightening up the room with a 'world' theme would be appreciated - it is a very large room which both my boys share.

i brought 3 news halter tops!
They are all the same cut, but different sizes. I wear a medium, but was only able to get a large in two of the shirts. i was wondering how i could shrink the two large shirts into mediums. The fabric feels no different than regular tee shirts.
if you dont know the answer, i would be grateful if you could give me a website that may know or point me in a direction of my answer.

My high ceilinged house in Fiji is infested with gheckos. They seem to do little to control the mosquitos and do not lend themselves to being house trained i.e. they excrete on us from a great height. I don't want to kill them e.g. bring in a cat or use poison but they are no longer welcomed.
Please help.

He has been a Master Gardener almost 20 years. He has every garden book ever written and every garden tool ever made. The gift must be related to gardening because anything else won't be noticed. I live with him & my sister (also a Master Gardener) and I owe them both a lot. It needs to be special, personal & garden related. Oh ya, no plants. Big rule around here, no incoming foliage of any kind. He hasn't the time to care for what he has now. A real jungle around here. A trip to a fancy garden in Pango Pango is out as my budget just maxed out at $200.00. No books, no tools, no plants. Oy? What to get the man who has everything, garden related, $200.00 budget. HELP!

I live in CA and went for a nightly run and happened to look down in the ditch and there was this curled up two-tone snake like a light yellow and orange. He was HUGE! I took off. LOL. What kind was that and should I be more aware of snakes at night. I thought they go sleep in hole when it gets dark.
