Trying to put up the curtain rods. I don't know what the wall is made out of but I can not get the screw in the wall for anything. Please help me find a way!

I have these shirts that are made of viscose,nylon,spandex, and acrylic. it says they should be hand washed then line or flat dried. since its summer when i do that the humidity makes the clothes have this weird smell. can i put them in the dryer without the material getting ruined or "lint-y"? if not is there another way i can dry them without getting the weird smell?

i brought a new gargoyle for my collection today, he is just gorgeous. He is a winged one tho, isnt there a different name for that type?

We cut our neighbour's tree with permission a couple of month's ago as it was hanging over into our garden. There is another part of the tree growing into our view at the back which has grown effectively over onto Council land. Can we cut this because it is in our view looking out on to the back as long as don't go on to their side of their view?

i replaced our kitchen faucet and since, where the supply line connects with the copper piping, water beads up and drips. do i want to use some type of plumber putty or replace the supply line? or something else?

I only need to convert the home to a single family on paper for now because it would cost me a down payment if I have it financed as a two family. I don't plan to rent out the other half so how can I (or the seller) quickly convert it to a single family on paper prior to financing?
If it matters, the home looks just like a single family. It has upstairs and downstairs units.

Whenever it rains; it leaks where my fireplace is located. From the ceiling to my mantel I have streaks of water....My mantel is brick and there is drywall up against the brick which is part of the ceiling... I know if water is getting in it is also affecting other parts of my roof.......please help

I just got a new oak computer desk a few weeks back. I was cleaning the desk area the other day, and moved my tiny computer speakers. To my dismay, the rubber stoppers attached on the bottom of the speakers (to help protect against scratching), the rubber dots left black dot stains on my new desk! There are 4 rubber dots on the bottom of each speaker, and now my desk has two small areas with black dot stains.
I've tried using a furniture spray polish to see if it will lift, but no luck.
I've seen stuff on the internet for repair small wood areas, called wood pens that you get as the color of the wood. Is this a good method or any suggestions?? Please help... I am not much of a craftswoman, and do not want a method to difficult or where I will potentially mess up the desk. I do not want to strip the desk.

I have tons of spiders and i mean tons i slash thier webs and stomp on them and even use buy sprays but there is no way to get rid of them. They are a pain because they are in my front garden which is next to a path to my front door. My friends when they come over complain that they run into webs. One friend even goes so far that she wants to go through the garage instead. How do i get rid of them and is it dangerous to be messing with spiders and are the spiders dangerous themselves

I live in California. I have M.S. and fibromyalga, and my husband has renal failure. I can stand for about 20 minutes washing dishes before I get tired and need to sit down. I cannot push a vacuum. Can't some California program help me afford a housekeeperor something?
