Once it is planted, what kind of care does it need? Mine died through the spring. I watered and fertilized it. But what did i do wrong?

We are putting a jacuzzi in and wish to hide it from neighbors. The bush will be on a chainlink fence, in a Southern locale with good sun and moist soil. It should be 5-6 feet high and 4-6 feet wide. We'd also like suggestions for another bush in dry shade, same size, please.
Thanks :)

I'd like to clean these old books that have become dirty (not scuffed) but don't want to damage or discolor the cloth (with board underneath) cover. What substance do you use and what's the technique?

I always see 91% water or 70% water. I never see any pure or 99% rubbing alcohol for sale.

I don't know what kind of ferns I have....they're large, the kind I've seen forever in forests. They are very hardy. But when they die off i the fall, the fern bed looks pretty awful (it's right in front of our house). I thought it would at least look a little better if I could cover up the bare dirt with either mulch or wood chips. I can't really plant anything there because I'd disturb the ferns as I was planting. Thanks much !

No we don't live like pigs, but we do have small mold spots near and on the ceiling by the shower. Any tips? Also, what is the best paint for the very humid conditions of a bathroom?

We bought a house and moved in past October. I gave my wife total responsibility for decorating and other additional stuff, I put down tile, we paid for painters, she's made curtains, etc, etc. Some of the stuff I don't particularly care for, but I've went along with because its important to her. I really only want two things for the house: a bigger deck and a big screen TV. Not allowed. 100 excuses are given why not, even after she's picked out 98% of what's in the house. Am I wrong to feel this is selfish and inflexible? I haven't seen anything to feel a compromise is even possible. Ideas on how to approach this? Why does it seem like things are one way...HER way?

I have heard that it is more economical to use the dishwasher once every couple of days as opposed to washing up the same amount of dishes the conventional way.

Which uses less water?
