There still is a version againt ants but the fly-pen I haven't seen for a long time. Any reason why it is out of the stores. It sure worked great.

The animal rights body held an august meeting with the representatives of the fly. There they decided that the reasons of killing a fly by a line was not justifiable, hence the ban on the pen.

They probably stopped making it because they figured that the flies would just fly over it. Ants don't have that most wondrous of abilities, and so they have not choice but to walk over the line, especially since they basically always walk in a straight line where they want to go, and a lot of them keep going as others die. Flies are more unpredictable and do not go in straight lines.
