wash with a bleach solution, that will kill everything. Any quality latex paint would work, I like Behr

Clean / degrease walls with ammonia solution. Let dry. Apply a product called KILLS on all areas where mold was present.
Let dry and paint over with regular wall paint.
Choose a eggshell or satin finish for walls in bathrooms for easier clean up. Flat wall paint will absorb water more readily, therefore keep damp longer and more likely to grow mold.
Run the fan while using the bathroom so it stays dry as well

No foolproof way other than cutting it out of drywall.
A product called TSP works ok and should be used to wash the whole wall before painting anyways.
There is paint made specifically for bathrooms and humid areas that any paint store can help you with.

I'm not sure about removing it....maybe some kind of mixture with bleach in it...like Tilex or clorox water. But I do know there is a special type of paint that repels mildew. We got some at a True Value store, and I've seen it at Home Depot also. And apparently it works, because it's been about 4 years since we painted, and no problem. Good Luck!

Spray with Clorox mixed with water. Leave it on for a few minutes then wash it off with a rag. Also, any paint brand will do as long as it is semi gloss to gloss that way anytime you get something on the paint you can wipe off easily.

Put some bleach on it and wait for it to dry before painting. It will kill the mold......As far as the best paint goes....I always use Sherwin Williams paint and have always had good luck with it.

Bleach should clean it up. Best paint to use in a bathroom is oil-based.
