My question is are chargers really not interchangable? If I found the same voltage & it fit in my weedeater is it possible? My type charger costs $30 replacement cost! Seems like everyone always has chargers to different things laying around. Stupid thought?

You need to make sure the supply voltage, output voltage and amps match the charger that came with the weed eater.

it's a conspiracy, haven't you figured that out yet. I hate it to say the least. Most times it's easier to buy a new one versus dealing with buying a new charger, and that's even if you can find one. Black and Decker is the worst...........I will say that we have a box of chargers that's how bad it is. Just for the reason you mentioned. That's scary huh?.....lol........
