My sweet doggy has 2 red sores, one on her hind leg and one in the front. At first, we all figured that it was just a minor wound of some sort and it would heal by itself in time. But they have lasted a few weeks and show no sign of healing. My mom and I want to take her to the vet, but we're afraid that the vet will take a look at my dog, give us some cream that won't even work, and charge us $300 without even diagnosing the problem. (That has happened once in the past when my dog had a ***** eye.) We have also put Hot Spots on the sores and put a gauze around it, but she showed no signs of improvement from that either. Any input will be very helpful! Thanks!

These are the links to my dog's sores:

75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (Likely applies
to half the world population.) In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is mistaken for hunger. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as 3%. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

We were having this conversation in work today, which made me think ......I had my tonsils removed when I was 7. I got the measles, which in turn caused ear problems, I ended up getting gromits, but before the gromits I needed to have my tonsils removed, so 30 years later, can someone tell me why?

I have an uncle who is going to undergo rehabilitation to get himself treated for his drug addiction. The thing is, his family isn't being supportive. Instead of being happy that he's finally turning his life around, they're complaining about the rehab fees. I was just wondering if it would be really better for him if his family is there to encourage and support him.

For about 13 days now, my urine has been consistently yellow.

I'm usually someone who goes pee about once every hour (often, I know, but I've been tested and nothing's wrong with me) and my urine has in the past always been clear (or close to it) because I'm usually quite hydrated.

Now, I haven't been doing anything different as far as more exercise or drinking anymore or less than usually (or drinking anything different than usual either), but my urine seems to be yellow all the time (even when I wipe myself the urine on the toilet paper appears yellow).

And to make matters worse, I've been peeing every half hour now. I'm not typically more thirsty than I usually am.

Does anyone knows what caused this or if anything is wrong with me?

BTW... if it helps any, it seemed to start during my period (I was wearing tampons, so I knew the colour) but my period has been gone for a while and this is still going on.

I'm in highschool and I know it's weird but before I got my first HPV shot, I actually sort of enjoyed shots. Not that I enjoyed the pain but I'm just interested in medicinal things and i like to feel how the injection spreads through my arm....Anyway I went in for my shot and I obviously wasn't all that nervous because I didn't mind shots. I got the shot and about 5 or 10 seconds after i actually got poked with the needle, everything started to go spotty, then went black and i woke up on my back on the table. I had apparently keeled over sideways & my mom/the nurse had put me on my back. I was very nauseous and very very uncomfortable (I had never fainted before that). Several nurses came in to help and had me drink some juice. I had eaten 2 meals prior to recieving the shot. After a bit, the nurse helped me & I slowly sat up, then climbed down& the nurse was holding my arm while I was standing there when I passed out again. The nurse caught me & I woke up on the ground, on my back.

I thought it'd be easier to swallow a vitamin pill if I cut it in half, so I did and took half a tablet. But the cut edge were all rough and it got stuck in my throat (not trachea, just somewhere in the throat area). I drank a lot of water and it eventually went down, but I'm wondering, if I had made any sudden movements or breathed hard when the pill was stuck, could I have choked on it?

Like 2 years ago, I swallowed one of those tops of a can of pepsi cans (you know those little silver things). Can it still be in my stomach, or do you think that I would have noticed if it hadn't passed. Like I probably would know if it was still inside me right?
