For about 13 days now, my urine has been consistently yellow.

I'm usually someone who goes pee about once every hour (often, I know, but I've been tested and nothing's wrong with me) and my urine has in the past always been clear (or close to it) because I'm usually quite hydrated.

Now, I haven't been doing anything different as far as more exercise or drinking anymore or less than usually (or drinking anything different than usual either), but my urine seems to be yellow all the time (even when I wipe myself the urine on the toilet paper appears yellow).

And to make matters worse, I've been peeing every half hour now. I'm not typically more thirsty than I usually am.

Does anyone knows what caused this or if anything is wrong with me?

BTW... if it helps any, it seemed to start during my period (I was wearing tampons, so I knew the colour) but my period has been gone for a while and this is still going on.

Just a bit of info-URINE-The average composition of urine is 96% water, 3% urea & 1% salts & other waste products. Urine can become more concentrated when we don't drink enough, & more dilute when we drink more than we need. It's yellow colour comes from small quantities of bile pigment. Your urine should be clear enough to read through. I would recommend seeing your doctor & having your kidney's checked, & be tested for diabetes just to be on the safe side. Some illnesses can occur without any noticeable symptoms, it could also be the start of a bladder infection.

There is nothing wrong with yellow color urine, So long as it is not orange colored or darker you should be ok. Maybe for some reason you need to drink more water? Maybe it's very hot now and you are needing more liquids, As for peeing every half hour that seems excessive to me. You should probably go get checked maybe you have a bladder infection.

Have you had a change of diet, or did you start taking/change vitamin supplements recently?
Eating certain foods will color your urine, as will taking certain supplements (Vitamin C will make it more yellow/orange and Vitamin B will make it more yellow/green). Eating foods high in these - carrots, etc, will have the same effects. So will drinking more fruit/vegetable juices. Beetroot can actually make it pinkish!
If this isn't the case, seeing a doctor for a urine test might be worthwhile for peace of mind.

Urine color question?

Family Doctor's Experience:

the color of the urine reflects the amount of water you drink (darker = less water concentration, average = average, most common, water concentration, and light = a lot of water concentration)

There are many possibilites, so it will be a guess between two or three common scenerios, but urine tests might give you and your doctor more information

I was always told the amount of yellow depends on how much water you've drank. Light to clear if you've drank a lot, or pretty dark if you haven't been drinking enough. Maybe your body is using it up more because it's summer, leaving less to lighten it?
