Let's face this. I am sick and tired of staying up until 3 or 4 AM at night. Then finally getting up at 1PM or 2PM. Its starting to annoy me and reduce my productivity. Yes I am in need of a job and I am trying to get one but still rising late is impeding in my job search. How can I become a morning person and enjoy the advantages of longer days to take care of business? How can I break this horrible rhythm?

Every night at about the same time (2 in the morning) I get a burning pain just below my sternum. Having a little food or milk makes it better but I don't want to keep eating at night, don't want to gain weight. Ideas?

it's the feeling that your knees get wobbly and your heart seems to dive deeper into your chest. I know that that was kind of lame of a description but that's the best description I could give it. My friend told me it's called heart burn but i found out that it was a different thing.

hope you could give me the answer! thanks!

I have been having a runny nose and a sore throat. I freeze unless I have 4 blankets, my cat, and the heater set to 74 degreese and I cough so hard that I almost vomit. I've been to the doctor 2 times and she said that it is broncitus but it keeps comming back. I also have minor pain that causes some discomfort around my stomach area. What could it be?

I'm referring to the temperature of the air in the outside environment of a person or an animal like a cat or a dog.

Specifically, if it is 25 degrees Fahrenheit in the outside temperature, is that cold enough for someone who only has light protection from the temp with only a sweater, to get hypothermia? How would rain and wind effect it?

Last semester he got very sick, sinus infection and vertigo. He ended up getting depressed and drinking a lot of alcohol and not finishing all his classes.

This semester I thought he would get back on his feet and finish school(senior in college). But, right away he started drinking heavily and being very sick. All he did was slept and drank. The symptoms I saw were throwing up whenever he ate or drank anything, I think throwing up blood too and depression.

He went to the hospital today claiming severe stomach pain. He is still there and when I visited him he said it was just a stomach ulcer, hence the pain and throwing up I guess. They had to remove fluids from his stomach and bladder because he said he couldn't pee for the last 12 hours before going to the hospital. Does an ultrasound reviel an ulcer? That's all I know of the doctors doing but they did a ton.

QUESTION!: Is this really all that was up then? Is there something else that is wrong!? Sorry for length. Thanks

She just told me the other day that she is bulimic. She told me not to tell anyone but she is going to seriously hurt herself if she keeps throwing up after every meal. I don't know the right person to talk to who can help her. She is going to be ticked at me for a while but I have to tell someone.

I'm in college and one of my close friends has anorexia. She had a history of anorexia in high school and admits to it being a problem. She hasn't eaten anything in over five days. Her parents are part of the problem so I can't ask them for help and the campus heath center doesn't deal well with eating disorders. (they would just put her on medical leave and I think going home would just make it worse) telling her she's going to die if she doesn't eat won't work, because I think she is suicidal. what do i do?

I've always had trouble sleeping and at times it can start to affect my life. I don't really want to go to the doctor and start taking sleeping pills but I was wondering what kinds of side effects people experience (besides the ones listed) with different sleeping pills... Specifically, do they mess up your metabolism because they help you sleep?
