It's totally different for everyone so I can only tell you my reaction to medication. I did not gain any weight on Zoloft but it didn't get rid of my depression or anxiety. I am now taking Lexapro (20mg) in combination with Ativan (10mg) and I have also not gained any weight. The Lexapro and Ativan are working great for me. I have a slight suspicion that the Ativan is causing me to lose my appetite a little because I have lost a few pounds. The Ativan is VERY addictive and it is not supposed to be taken for very long. My anxiety leads to frequent panic attacks so that's why I take it. Many people have complained of weight gain with Lexapro, I haven't had that problem but, like I said, it may be because I'm taking Ativan as well. I read that Lexapro was some sort of 'updated' version of Celexa but you'd have to ask your doctor about that...
