youd be surprised just how much good plain old chicken noodle soup can do. And I don't me that canned stuff. Go home made all the way. Be sure to have plenty of veggies like celery, carrots, potatoes (well i put em in) etc, and big chuncks of chicken breast. It's a liquid so it easier to digest but the veggies and the chicken give you the essentil proteins, and vitamins to keep you going and keep you well nourished so your body can fight off the disease faster. Because it's hot, it'll help decongest a stuffy nose. rest plenty and get a humidifier when you can. Viruses spread more easily in the dry air of the winter months. It's why you rarely see ppl with colds in the summer time. Drink plenty of orange juice and have a spoonful of honey with a dash of salt on it two or three times a day. I dont know why but it helps with the soar throat. And it tastes great too.
If you're not afraid to try something new try blending the contents of one aloe leaf thingy (the gooey stuff in the middle) with a small container of honey. The honey over-powers the very subtle taste of the aloe, so it tastes great. Aloe does wonders for skin too so that's a plus!
Get well soon!!

One thing my family has used is 3 drops of 3(or lower)% hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in each ear, allowing it to fizz until it stops. (Some think the cause can be in one's ears.) It crackles a lot, because it is releasing oxygen when it touches something. You can repeat this, some say, every 4 hrs until symptoms disappear, then daily for a few days. Oft times supposed viral colds are actually caused by bacteria. Either way, both virus & bacteria (also parasites) are killed by oxygen. (H2O2 is liquid oxygen + water)

Sorry to hear you have a cold, too. What helps me is to take a steamy hot shower, with the bathroom door closed. Just stand in the water, and breathe in the steam into your lungs. Do this for a while and you will loosen the mucous and start to feel better. Afterwards, fix yourself some orange juice or hot tea, and rest under several blankets, with your head elevated.
Hope you feel better soon.
Also, take some Vitamin C if you have some.

Try hot tea with lemon and honey or lemon and sugar if available. If you are of legal drinking age try a little whiskey in it.
This helps break up the congestion and can help you sleep. Also try taking a hot shower before bed, blowing nose clear on getting out of the shower (the steam helps loosen the mucous).

drink lots of liquids, you won't feel like doing it, but do it. Take a long shower and breathe in the steamy air as much as you can. Go to bed. Have a glass of water at bedside to drink from each time you wake up.
