I seem to be constantly thirsty and have had changes to my eye sight. Both of these have come on gradually over the past year or so but the constant thirst is beginning to get annoying. I had a diabetes test about a year ago which was negative. Should I see my doctor about this or not? I don't want to go if I will be just wasting their time. What does anyone think?

I want the hobby to be something fun, where I can do it in one sitting, but also have it where I can do more at other times...
and I don't want to do anything like sewing or making braclets. I want something fun, fast, and stress free!

Most true alcoholics do not die from alcohol abuse, they die from the complication of years of nicotine addiction. If these alcoholics can use 12 step programs to quit drinking alcohol, why cannot they also use that same AA doctrine for smoking cessation? It makes sense to me that while addressing the area of the brain that is responsible for addiction, and truly claim to have arrested their disposition for addiction, they would also quit smoking as well? What is the ultimate goal in abstaining from addictions to deadly substances like alcohol? Could it be to save their life? Why do 12 step programs brag about success in addiction, and ultimately die from smoking cigarettes, like their founder Bill Wilson? How effective are 12 step programs? Could this be AAers deadly self-will at work?

i have a freind who has worked in agedcare for 9 years. anyone in agedcare knows its a unforgiving and soul-destroying place to work. My freind recently was involved in an incident where a patient struck my freind twice while my freind was attempting to put the patient on the toilet during a night-shift.

This particular patient almost always gets toileted at the same time and is known for putting up some resistance as part of the patients advanced state of dementia.

Anyway, after the patient struck my friend and hurt my freind a situation occured where my freind gave the ptient a very light tap on the back of the srist and told the patient not to hit.

Unfortunately for my freind, a new staff member witnessed it and ran off to the boss and dobbed. The witness made an exagerated statement and the matter was investigated.

My friend admitted freely to the tap on the wrist but in a shocking display of proceedural unfairness she was terminated immediately. Does this sound fair??

Yesterday, I went to eat with my friends and after that we went to dance a little bit. I was dancing with one of my friends until I had myself to stop because I wasn't breathing. my heart was beating strongly and I could not breathe and my face was super red. What that means? Could this be tachycardia* (racing heart)???

I have been using Equate brand conditioning solution for a while now but for the past 4 months or so have had problems wearing my contacts. My eyes would burn and I would have to take my contacts out. I went to the eye doctor and he said there was a film on my contacts. He cleaned them. The contacts felt good for a while after that but then began having trouble again. I finally realized that the conditioning solution was causing my problem and quit using it. I now put my contacts in water overnight. I haven't had a problem since. Has anyone else had this problem? Am I hurting my contacts by not using the conditioning solution? Please don't answer this if you aren't familiar with gas permeable contacts. They are totally different from soft lenses.

My boyfriend is lactose intolerant. I don't know if this would have anything to do with it, but on several different occasions..he's suffered this pain on his right side...it subsides whenever he passes gas, but comes back shortly after. He gets very uncomfortable and paces around the house all night. He's going to a doctor once he gets insurance, but I just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas of what this could be?

Im 21, went to the emergency room back in march because I was getting cramps on my lower left side. After a bunch of tests and a $2000 bill I found out that I was constipated. I was given a prescription laxative called Polyethylene Glycol 2250, NF powder for solution. So I wasnt sure how long to take it and I took it for about 5 days and then I stopped because I thought everything was fine, and I was regular again.....for about a week. Then back to being constipated. So anyways, it is January of 2007 now and I am extremely constipated. I thought I would start taking the medicine again because I have some left so I have been taking it for 3 days now. No bowel movements until today and they are long and really skinny. I have to push to get them out and I have gone 4 times today but in extremely small amounts. I am also getting bad cramps and im still really constipated because I dont feel any better I still feel really stopped up. I dont have any money to see the doctor. Please help?
