This is just an idea. But i love drawing and making collages. Also making scrap books. I think it is fun, and it can be ongoing. You can maybe do one or two pages of a scrap book at a time. And with drawing, you are almost Never finished. I always feel like i can get our my drawing and a pencil and make it better. The only problem is that it is usually messy. I end up with scraps of paper or colored pencils surrounding me. Other things you can try, my dad LOVES models. He loves making model airplanes, and cars. The model air planes me makes can actually fly, so it is very gratifying when he finishes one of his planes and he can take it to a Field and use it. And my boyfriends hobby is playing video games. I hate it, but he LOVES it. I feel like it is a waist of time, but he doesn't just because he enjoys it so much. I hope these ideas help you.

You can listen to music, read books, or do cross word puzzles. Exercising is always good although it's not sitting down, but they make exercise tapes that you can do in your home. There's always cooking but you have to make healthy foods. Believe it or not, there is good, healthy food that you can cook that's easy and quick. You can also play board games with a friend to get your mind off of things that you're worried about.

I knit it's works great for my migraine headaches, oh and I'm a nurse. Find something that will relax you and make you feel calm and stay interested in what you are doing. I would go to a crafts store like Michael's and find something. Take care and good luck.

I took a water color class a few years ago and it is a great inexpensive way for me to relieve stress. I'm not great at it but it really reduces my anxiety. It took me a long time to realize you don't have to be great at something to enjoy it.

jogging would be great for you, as you can do it in 15 mins if you like, or take 2 hours. You can start from any degree of fitness and build up. and exercise is great for stress. And it doesn't cost anything - apart from the running shoes.

learn to play an instrument, with a lot of determintaion, you could teach yourself, but it would be more effective to have someone teach you, it is a very effective stress releiver.
