What's a, "Full Blood Count". Having this done - & nervous. PLZ TELL ME?

I'm having a "Full Blood Count" taken.

What is this ? Will lots of Blood be taken ?

very squeamish - feel sick thinking about it

No..dont worry. They just take your blood (an not a lot at all!).and you will get the reult within 1 hour.

Full BloodCount (FBC) is to check your white blood cells, red blood cells, reticuloytes (young red blood cells) and platelets.
It can determine if you have anemia, or blood cancer, lack of Hb (Haemogloblin), if you are having an infection (ur WBC will goes up), the bleeding time & etc.
