Can your regular family doctor prescribe you Lamisil?

I'm going on Tuesday for a physical and I want to ask her if she could prescribe me Lamisil for toenail fungus. Is this a reasonable question to ask and can most family doctors do this?

I'm a nurse. You can get this OTC, but many doctors do give prescriptions for medicine OTC. Go ahead and ask, I'm sure you'll get it.

yes they can but you will need some extra lab work while taking it
