One of my close relative is keeping himeslf in isolation. He's an intravert from beginning. Used to respect elders, believe in God, was very responsible. But, now, has quit job and @ home from past 1 yr. Though he's good in experience and knowlednge, not ready to try to get a job. Though married recently, and married one he wanted to, not worried about responsibilities. Keeps watching TV, Sleeps a lot, eats well and reads story books. Not bothered how his behavior is affecting family. He dont admit that he has problem, not ready to consult any counsellor. Want some one who can come as a friend of mine and talk to him and get to know the reason why he has become totally irrespnosible. His parents are aged anad are really worried. His wife has not seen the good days after getting married.. He feels that someone is watching him or making him fail in everything. Suspects everyone that they're with the one who keep watching him.

Not daring to give medication. Want someone who can cousel

. Mrs. April Masal, a 68-year old woman, is brought to her doctor by her daughter, who fears that her memory loss, mental dullness, and word finding problems mean that she has progressive and irreversible senile dementia. Medical history elicits the facts that she lost her husband 6 months previously, has been extremely depressed, and is taking sleeping pills and not eating properly. What would the doctor hypothesize about the probability of senile dementia in this case?

My son is 5 years old and was diagnosed with Pediatric Bipolar Disorder a year ago and now the medication that he was prescribed (Abilify) seems to not be working. I'm very frustrated and have problems disciplining him. Any advice?

I have tried time outs, revoking of privileges, grounding and yes even spanking and NOTHING seems to work. He just doesn't seem to care and I'm at my wits end!!!!

Has anyone else been through this before? We are working with his Psychiatrist with the meds issue but it's slow going.

I am taking Effexor since 4 days for my panic disorder. I noticed after a few hours that the panic attacks increased tremendously. Is this possible? I always thought that this drug takes weeks to work or to show side effects? Any inputs or experiences? General advice on Effexor is very welcome too. Only mature answers, please. Many thanks.

and why was the time to clear my consciouse of the memory past the time for confrontation? The school and the teacher have long been gone and the offence remained burried from early childhood, The time to lay that memory to rest as belonging to both the employee and the employer did not come into law untill many years later. and as a child desireing of no harmful revenge, only to understand why the act of tarnishing the young innocence had not been abolished was the question. It is late now and the consciouse has been cleared of wrong doing by the child of years ago.

he has so much energy and has trouble keeping still. He has to touch everthing and move around all of the time. He is easily bored with his schoolwork because he says it is too easy. On the other hand he can't seem to focus when he is learning something. Sitting for short periods of time are very hard for him sometimes causing him to be angry. Could it be ADHD? I don't want to put him on Ritilin if so and am worried this is what the doctor will suggest. He just turned eight last week and the doctor did say to let him get a little older before we worry about a diagnosis of ADHD. Now is the time to take him back, but I just wanted some kind of feedback on this. Please help. Thanks.

I'm sorry for not being any clearer but what I mean is do you feel you don't reflect as much? Are you not as emotional or passionate as before? Has it compromised who you are? Does time go much faster and you don't care as much?

I tried getting my room changed to the quiet floor because I couldn't stand the noise. But they denied my request. I just seem to always be agiated and do know how to relax, especially at night when they won't shut up.

I already know the symptoms..I guess what I am really looking for is a personal experience or something that I can relate to. The symptoms are often vague and unsupported by a detailed analysis.

I am a teenager.

Ever since I was 10, I had a lot of trouble getting sleep.
I really don't know what the problem. I now sleep around 12:00 'o clock at midnight...
Probably because i think to much about things (Homework, Family Issues, etc.) before going to bed.
What's wrong with me? Has this ever happened to you? What do you if you can't get enough sleep?

I am very good friends with my ex and I do still love him, but there are many many problems between us. My ex and I get along great but we have a seven year history filled with ups and downs. Alcohol and partying have been a huge part of our past as well as lying and cheating. He has cheated on me twice in the past and I have cheated on him once. We have had violent fights and many comunication problems. I have decided to move on but we keep in touch and we still talk every day and we have had sex together many times. I feel like there is something between us that wont die and like we are so close that we almost cant live without eachother but i desperatialy want to see what else is out there. He has threatened suicide if I leave and he has tried once I dont know if I am more scared of him hurting himself or if I really do live him!! I am keeping him in my life and it is killing him because I dont know what I want. I love him but I feel like there may be something better for me???

i have posted some questions about this before.

one of my friends relapsed into depression early this week and it is worse than ever before. i have seen her become so sad that she has spent days crying, but it is worse now. she has shrunk into a shell and her eyes are dull and unresponsive. she has moments where phrases or questions connect, but they are rare and few. she has also started cutting. she wants to stop. she has told me that during the few times when she is "better", but it is an addiction she can't quit.

are there any ex-cutters who have advice for me or my friend on how to get through this? i am trying to be supportive and let her come to me and not badger her with questions, but i can't help her without knowing what the problem is. i don't know the cause of her depression. she and her boyfriend have never fought, her parents divorced MANY years ago and that has been resolved, and i can't think of anything else. what can i do to help her?

What kind of image are they trying to give to the people of the United States? Can democrats at least understand why people are questioning their loyalty to the country? By having a Hezbollah imam lead the democrats in prayer is a bit strange and it leads people to ask questions on where their allegiance is.
