You love psychiatriy because you keep trying to figure yourself out. All these people think they will love psychiatry and then once they are there they hate it. I dont know when or where you tested your I.Q but the internet isnt really that accurate. Maybe you should look at an analytical position since you love to think so much. Look up majors in Logic and see how that suits you. Also, I wouldnt listen to the psychiatrists so much, your schizophrenic and bi-polar? I would say you probably just havent been out of the house and exposed to normal people. Most people - a psych would say - have abused drugs to have so many conditions. They are not always right - business is business.

Well as long as you can get high grades in school, and college, then i don't see why you need to know how hig your IQ has to be. You have to be smart, and also be able to retain the information that you have. Well i would also say that your iq is high enough, it is higher then most peoples, Mine is close to 200, 185, so i would say tht you have a really good chance of doing well in medical school. Yea well i have been in hospitals with psychiatrist's that had MPD, and they would take a year off to work on themself, then get back to their patince after working on their problems , you know that the hightest professional in the fact of sucide, it the thrapist, case managers, but the worse is the psychiatrist. More of them end up killing themselves, if they do not go to an shrink or a therapist and get help for their job.

Four years of college plus four years of medical school makes eight years post-secondary education. Where are the other four coming from? Not to mention that only the first four would generally be considered "college."

Doctors don't necessarily have to have particularly high IQs. They do need to be able to interact with patients in way that makes them feel comfortable, and they need to have a pretty good memory to make it though med school. IQ on it's own really isn't a good measure of aptitue for any particular career path.

You do, however, need to work on your punctuation and capitalization if you're going to make it through high school, let alone medical school.

An iq of 145 is pretty high, doctors don't necessarily have very high iq's, rather the skills they need in their profession. If you have all those illnesses and want to be a doctor that is good, there have been others like you who have done it, so why can't you? don't give up, its a long road.

If you are mesuring your abilities to becoming a psychiatrist with your IQ, you are looking in the wrong direction. Ask yourself this question instead. When someone goes to a psychiatrist, what does he look for? someone who can listen? someone who does not judge? etc. If you find what people are seeking in a psychiatrist and you believe you can provide them with that, you'll be a good psychiatrist.

Good luck ;)

hullo
an i.q of a doctor should be above average, which means a score of 120 or more.
to be a doctor ,it needs more than an i.q you know, you gave me the sense of egoistic attitude which is not a promising thing.
