I woke up with a serious neck pain all the way down to my spine. I can't even move my neck without my back hurting.
Any simple, fast ways to make it better?

Chiropractor not an option.

Other than the obvious, what else can we do besides keeping it warm, my brother will be there 24/7, my mom will be upstairs. What else will help him be comfortable and have a chance at recooping too.
P.S. Please pray for him. . . . he could recover if all things fall into place. Please please say a prayer for him, his name is Al.

Ive had severe back and neck problems, including 2 spinal fusions...a recent MRI and CT Scan have shown only 2 healthy disks in my entire back and neck...including 2 herniated disks and a bone sticking out in my neck hitting a nerve. I have been on medications for 8 years, 5 since my first surgery...have had the epidurals, injections and all that..including a pain pacemaker which didnt work either. It has sent me into a deep depression on and off over the years, and I am still in so much pain....How does one keep oneself in a proper mind frame, and get over, and move on when you are in severe pain and dont know if it will ever go away??

I had chronic pain for over 4 years. After about 10 doctors and three surgeries, I found a massage therapy specialist who has worked 'miracles' on my particular problem, i.e., repetitive strain injury that resulted in some of my nerves pressing against my bone in my hand, arm and shoulder. Now, I'm ecstatic to be without pain, but keep worrying I could have an accident and come back. What can I say to myself so as not to obsess about this?

Received a cortisone shot today on my right knee for a torn ligament 3 months ago. Knee was alot better with physical therapy last appt with dr today. Stated a cortisone shot will releive the rest of the swelling in my knee and gave me the shot. Knee feels like when I first hurt it, but worse. Can't stand, walk, straighten or bend right leg. I am icing it. Is this pain normal? How long does this last?

I have been on Suboxone for approximately one month and have decided to stop taking it and see if I can live healthy without it. It has been 192 hours since my last dose and I am still feeling WD symptoms. Any idea of when I will start to feel normal again? I have a constant, dull pain in my back and my sleep at night sucks. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

During the past couple months, the base of my big toe on my right foot sometimes hurts for no reason! I could just be sitting down and it'll start hurting and a few minutes later, the pain will go away but then it'll return again hours or days later. My toe looks fine. There's no bruising or swelling of it, it just randomly hurts. Does anyone know what could be wrong with it?
