My back never hurts me, unless someone presses on the lower part of it. Then it feels like they are hitting something, and the pain that I feel literally takes my breath away. As soon as they stop pressing on it, the pain goes away. It is only in this one spot that this happens, and it's an area about the size of a quarter. It feels like maybe there is something there about the size of a grape, but I cannot be sure. Has anybody else ever had this happen?

I usually have this pain in my hand (& fingers) that numbs them completely to the point where I cannot grab a pen but it is mild so I don't pay attention just shake it and let it by.
A couple of days ago I had it again but this time it was a bit strong, in the middle of school..I couldn't write properly and the pain lasted 3 hours. This time it numbed my ring and little finger.
I got home and told a relative and she said that I might be getting carpal tunnel..because she used to have those pains..Ive looked the symptoms and it doesn't seem to be the same.
Could it be serious?

They told me to take maalox and pepcid until I can see a specialist. Is there anything else I can do to ease the pain. It doesn't feel like it's working. I'm 20 with a 10 month old baby and a very stressful job.

The guy in the locker next to me takes one or two naproxen pills a half hour before our hockey games to help prevent pain from the contact. I was wondering if this would work and if there is any point in doing it. I took one before a practice once and it didnt upset my stomache at all so if it does work i would start doing it. I was just wondering if it is at all worthwhile to take the pills before the game to prevent pain.

I just read an article on Yahoo that says exercise helps with chronic pain. It also says stopping exercise will probably make the pain worse: http://health.yahoo.com/pain-management-2007/levy/86/got-pain-exercise-it-away/
So my question is, would it be better to start exercising and have to stop later, or not start exercising at all and stay with the current low pain level?

I woke up this morning with a very sore throat so I took tylenol at around 11:30. However, tonight is our semi-formal, and while I do not intend to get "wasted" I would like to drink a little. Will this be okay?

Name for that is...?

I bought a pot of chewable 60mg vitamin C tablets today.

It says only one a day, is this right? I though Vit C couldn't store itself - so how many a day should I really take?

I am a 20 year old male. If that info helps!

I think I have developed back pain that resulted from my right leg being a little bit smaller than my left leg. My pain often occurs at least 3-4 times a week, for a few hours on the days that it occurs, and it is in the lower/mid back areas, I would call it acute spikes of pain. This has been going on since about Mid-August this year.

My treatments that I have tried include: Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Lying Down in Bed, Heating pads, Ice Packs, and Resting.

These were working at first, but now as it seems that time has progressed, my back pain is getting worse, and hurting more, and it is often keeping me from doing regular every day activities, such as excercise.

Should I go see my doctor about it, and try to see what other treatment options are available? And what other treatments are available?

It has burned when I urinate for about a week, but the burning has lessened. Now I have a throbbing pain in my sides towards the back. I never get sick, and when I do I always end up spending money for nothing, plus I hate doctors. I do not have a fever or feel like vomiting. The pain is not that bad, its just frustrating. Is it worth going to the doctor for?

I got into a car accident yesterday- it was a crap car, i hydroplaned becuse I did not have ABS brakes, and nw it's totaled- and today my neck kindof hurts/is sore.
would it still be ok to go for a run, or to the gym? I don't want to make it worse.
