hi i need an answer for my questions my dad is going in for back surgery because he has damaged his forth and fifth nerve and his satatic nerve how long and bad will the healing process be for him also he has a form of diabetis will this affect him when recovering cause he can be really stubborn and not do what he is told especailly when his sugars are low.
also will this mean he will be in a brace?

Hi, I'm not too familiar with the back issues but with the healing, since he has diabetes is something to watch. People with diabetes is something to watch because people with that condition are very prone to infection. That's the main thing to worry about because if his blood sugar isn't stable it can make his immune system weak, but not only that, if his blood sugar isn't stable it could increase the amount of time the body needs to heal significantly. All you can do is to help him get through this. I hope he heals well. Good luck.

Guess that will be up to his condition and he might be on a stricker diet.
