I got into a car accident yesterday- it was a crap car, i hydroplaned becuse I did not have ABS brakes, and nw it's totaled- and today my neck kindof hurts/is sore.
would it still be ok to go for a run, or to the gym? I don't want to make it worse.

i wouldnt. take it easy for a couple of days. and if you REALLY want to workout.. then i would stay home and just use dumbells. but i would just rest of like 2 days or something. and put like a heating pad on your neck, and take some advil or something.

After being in an accident myself, no. If you didn't go to the hospital you should. Get clearance from a doctor. There may be something going on that you don't know about. Even if it's just a case of minor whiplash or a muscle pull, give your body a rest for a few days. Let the muscles chill and relax a bit before you go and exercise. You could just add insult to injury and feel even worse. I learned the hard way, learn from me. If you choose to not go to a doc try rest, ice then heat and motrin thru the weekend. If you're no better by Monday, go see a doc. Don't be a young cripple like me. I'm under 40 and disabled due to my own stupidity.

I wouldn't. I would see medical advise first before I did any type of physical exercise just to be on the safe side. You may have whip lash. Your insurance should pick up the medical costs. Did you make out a police report and report it to your insurance?

I would obtain medical advice first. Do you have car insurance? It would possible pay for medical treatment.
