For the last few weeks, when I try to get comfortable at night---no matter what position I lay in, what pillow I use (or not use), what firmness/softness I set the bed (we have a sleep number bed), etc.... I cannot get my neck comfortable!!!!! It feels as if my neck muscles are strained all the time and I don't know why!
When I try to sleep with no pillow at all or something rolled up under my neck, the veins in my head pulse heavily and my head feels like it's about to explode, so I am constantly trying to change positions (being up half the night and waking my husband up). I've also tried those memory foam pillows with the little neck ridge with no luck. I don't know if this has anything to do with it---but I've been trying to fight off getting a cold for a little while (some slightly swollen glands), and every once and awhile, my husband massages my neck.
I am 28 years old, the correct weight, and fairly healthy. Is something wrong? Any suggestions? Thanks!
