as you know, your back is a sensitive and vital area!!

Your doc and physio want to make sure they do not aggravate the injury - which means worse luck for you and a maybe lawsuit for them - they're watching themselves basically....

Eat less is all i can say........eat less than what your kj output is each day, high protein (but low fat) and do not eat carbs after 6pm
Take green tea capulses also..good luck

Hmm, well I have two herniated discs in my low back and the one exercise I can do is on a Recumbant Bicycle (I am unsure if I spelled that right). It is a bike that has a chair style seat, and all you do is pedal with your feet straight out in front of you. Some models even have handles to exercise your arms. They range somewhere around $500 or so.

This guy in Ireland was paralised from the waist down and in a wheel chair for years after a car accident. He had visited all the specialists who told him he would never walk again. Then he went and got Reye Kee "not sure if thats spelt right", a non touch Chineese body energy allignment and now he is walking and pain free. He was on a show called the "Late late Show" Ireland's version of "Parkinson" or "Larry King Live" if you want more details email me on fsjock@yahoo.com my sister's friend's sister was actually going out with him I forget his name but you should try that out Buddy.

get a stationary bike and ride it. in front of the TV.don't strain. keep it on the lowest level.I worked as an instructor and then manager of a spa for years and been a member for 34 years the bike is best for losing weight, you set the seat at the level where its not so much strain on your back you will have to adjust it accordingly. but don't over do it now.and if you get arthritis in your back., stop eating white flour products and sweets.only eat whole natural foods.

you could try swimming...not so much swimming laps but just relaxing. floating will help you relax. but maybe if it doesnt hurt to bad walk some (10mins and build up each week or so). it's hard to do exercises w/o using your back, but if i were you i would switch doctors! you should maybe also talk to a physical therapist or a chiropracter (spelling)--good luck
