I had terrible cramps my entire life, which I later found out was caused by endometriosis, had a hysterectomy at age 28. But what worked for me was a pill called Premsyn PMS, I'd take 2 of those and 4 Advil and that worked. But I had to catch it before the pain got too bad. Good luck, it's certainly no fun!!

something that always worked for me is taking a hot bath and soaking in it. the hot water helps relieve the sore aching muscles caused by cramps. also i used to lie on a heating pad when the abdominal cramps were at their worst. Sometimes lying on your stomach helps relieve some of the achiness. (i'm not sure exactly why that is, but i think its due to the pressure.....it always worked for me). also, gently kneeding the stomach area can help soothe the cramps.

Advil/Aleve, heating pad, knees propped up with a pint of ice cream and a good chick flick. Seriousy...the heating pad will help. Place it on your abdomen or back (whichever hurts worse).
