I think I have been developing migraine headaches. I have alot of pressure/pain at the top of my head, combined with dizziness, lack of concentration and a strange metallic taste in my mouth. These headaches are now coming every day.

Does it sound like migraine to you?

Yes! It sounds very much like migraines. A metallic taste can be one symptom but there are also things like flashing lights or perhaps spots--auras. There can also be a dizzying sensation and nausea. I have had migraines since I was very young and the onset was both sudden and frequent. How old are you? Most start in adolesence although they can come at different points of life. For me, my first migraine was one of the most painful experiences of my life--mostly because I didn't know what it was!

I definetly think you should see a neurologist though. He/she will diagnose you properly and with the medicines today you should be able to at least keep them under control. They offer not only medicine for when you have a very bad migraine but preventative prescriptions.

Just make sure to do your homework on them. For example I considered Topamax but I read that it can make it difficult to concentrate (not something I want to deal with in grad school) See a professional but also do some research on the different forms of treament so you know which questions to ask---esp about the side effects. It's not good if the migraine is taken care of but you are dealing with other unwanted symptoms! Good luck! :)

I've never heard of this happening to anyone before. Although, I do get migraines and the 3 times I've been pregnant I got a lot more migraines more often. It could be a sign that something is wrong. If you aren't feeling better soon, go to the doctor. You can find out for sure if you are pregnant or not then! Good luck!

Migraine Syndrome is a multiple symptom phenomena. Depending on how many of the cranial nerves are involved, will determine the number of symptoms that will appear. There are 12 of them and each creates its own symptom. Any where from dizzy, noises in the ear, sinus like pain in the face, difficulty in swallowing, very sensitive to lights, lowered blood pressure, palpitations, nausea, intestinal upsets.. Not to overlook the involvement of the autonomic nervous system which also plays a large role in these symptoms.

The pressure on the head is very suggestive of a torsion of the skull itself.. this being the result of concentrated muscular tension at one side of the skull.. eliciting tenderness to pain at the base of the skull. There will also be some tender areas on the scalp. The lack of concentration is suggestive of reduced blood flow to the cranial vault by way of the arteries going up through the foramina of the vertebra which seats the skull.

Should any or all of these symptoms be present, is very suggestive you have a pronounced postural problem. Low shoulder, head tipped a bit to one side, one hip higher than the other.. on and on.

You present a complicated picture with minimal explanation.

Should you like to discuss this further, don't hesitate to contact.

I can provide for you simply a few tips however I recommend to give a look to the technique that i posted above...for illustration you can take more sustenance that holds vitamin A, for example, carrots may help to naturally improve your vision. We can likewise dependably do exercises. There are exercises, for example, rolling your eyeball to form an undetectable square that are constantly recommended by the doctors to improve one's vision. I don't think about rapidly as there is no quick approach to reach one's objective. Vegetarians can help to improve one's vision. I accept it in light of the fact that I am a vegetarian and my eye short-sightedness power remains the same without any increase after around 2 years. The doctor was stunned in light of the fact that teenagers at my years will normally have a most increase since we are continually staring at the TV, playing computers furthermore reading. I don't know whether it is completely true or not yet it does influence a bit on the result. At any rate i propose to check the connection that I posted.

It depends. There are many different types of migraines. The kind I get don't involve the "aura" before they attack. Also, the most common migraine involves a pain on just ONE side of the head and nausea. Try using Yahoo! Health to look them up and see if your symptoms fit any one type (although I DOUBT you have menstrual migraines...).

I'm a nurse. It sure sounds like it but it could be something else as well. Either way you should see a doctor. You need medication for comfort. Stress usually causes this.
