They tell you the left arm may be a sign of heart problems but my cousin had those sorts of pains and numbness. It turned out she had a very bad carpal tunnel. She had surgery and she is recovering nicely with a lot of the feeling coming back in her hand. You really do need to get this checked out by a doctor, right away, as it may be serious

Many arm and shoulder problems are actually neck problems.
You do need to see your gp and begin having this investigated. That starts with x-rays of the neck, shoulder and arm, but it most certainly doesn't end there. Keep investigating this until you do have an answer, because a diagnosis is the first step in finding appropriate management/treament methods. Remember that you are always entitled to a second opinion.

This is something that definitely needs medical attention, call your MD for an appointment. This could be caused by a pinched nerve, possibly in the neck, a circulation problem or possibly a clot. It is not possible for someone to be diagnosed without an in person medical exam so see you MD soon.

Could be carpal tunnel syndrome. Google the symptoms and see if they fit yours. Follow up with a vistit to the doctor to rule out anything more serious.
