i have been sleeping badly in my bed, so I slept in the spare room last night. My back was bothering me when I went to bed. I woke up at 4:00 with such severe back pain it hurt to wear pants. I took a hot bath and tried to stretch out my muscles, but I ended up having to call off work.

My husband was very sweet to go pick up some Doan's, a heating pad, and muscl rub for me...but other than beig very warm and stinky, i don't feel much better. Any tips on muscle pain relief?

My back hurt so badly it woke me up all thru the night.for years I forced myself to ride a bike.and though it hurt.to exercise and took some months of exercise. I kept doing it and this strengthened my back and now I don't wake up to pain every night. get a stationary bike and Set it in front of the TV and ride it everyday for half hour. This is the only way to help your back problem.in the long run.I had someone come over and give me reflexology treatments twice a week and that helped some.but it was fairly expensive.have you tried a chiropractor?Good luck.

those are all good suggestions.I too suffer from back pain and have a hard time sleeping.I started working out on weights and running on a treadmill last week and my back feels allot better.I sleep better also. From what I understand is your core muscles may be weak and your back muscles over compensate to help out.So try working out.

You just have to let it run its course. There's not much more you can do than what you are doing now. You can try some Ibuprofen. It's normally safe to take 800mg in a 12 hour window.

sounds like you need a new bed,but to ease the pain lay on your back on the floor and bend your knees and pull them up to your chest about 6times .
