My daughters pain in her leg is so severe that the doctor decided to take a x-ray to make sure she doesn't have bone cancer or rheumatoid arthritis. While I am waiting to hear from the doctors, has anyone had a child that experienced this type of pain in the calf area. The front that is.

I have had RLS for quite a while now and have learned how to deal with it most of the time. Lately it is getting much worse and very painful. The strange thing going on now is it's only getting worse on my left side and it's not just in the calf but all the way up to my hip. It is going from just being jumpy and restless to having a horrible achey, crampy, burning feeling. I just wondered if anyone has this and knows if it's something I should contact my doctor about or if it's just a normal thing that comes along with RLS>

It started yesterday, and is giving me a lot of pain when I breath in. I thought it might be wind but today it is still there, although a tiny bit easier to breath in today, still getting pain in back, and started coughing also. Can anyone tell me if I need to worry. Thanks

Hello,

I have a 5 year history of chronic pain. I was found to have peripheral neuropathy with Allodynia, herniated cervical discs (C3- C5 that impinges upon the thecal sac) Inflammatory Arthritis in my knees, and Fibromyalgia. I have been going to a pain management clinic and have been Rx'd Oxycontin 60mg every 12 hours, Oxycodone 15mg 3 x day for BT pain and lidoderm 3 x day.

While this has not stopped all my pain it has reduced it from a 8-9 to a 4-5 on most days. I could not live a decent life without these meds.

Recently I was tested for Lyme disease and the tests came back positive, I am now on Antibiotics. I have been going to a pain clinic for a few months and I see a Nurse Practitioner there and she was the one who ordered the Lyme testing and told me to see a Lyme doctor.

She recently told me that narcotics do not work for Lyme pain and that they don't work on me. I tried to tell her differently but she would not listen. She said that my meds need to be tapered and stopped. When I again mentioned my bad discs she said that Lyme is causing it. Everything I have is now due to Lyme disease at least according to her. If she stops these meds I do not want to think about how bad my life will become. I have tried just about everything under the sun from NSAIDS to Biofeedback and everything in between and nothing else has reduced this GOD Awful pain.

How can someone act like this and work for a pain clinic? Am I missing something here? The pain I have has not changed. I have been lead to believe that Lyme can be as painful as cancer pain, yet cancer pain is treated.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Would it be a wise idea to speak to the actual Doctor and tell him what is going on? I saw him before I saw the NP and he was very understanding.

Does anyone know how to relieve migraine headaches? I used to take tylenol but after many years of taking this, I think it has taken a toll on my liver. I get pains right in my liver area.I dont know what to do anymore and the pain from the migraine headaches are so intense that I think only a migraine sufferer would understand how this feels. Any suggestions?

when i get very little sleep i tend to have pain in the entire left side of my body. it starts in my neck, it gets all stiff behind mye ar, then it gives me a headache on that same side. then my chest starts to hurt and breathing gets tight, then it goes into my shoulder pretty bad, then into my arm. then my side down to my waist is throbbing. this happens when i get very little sleep and have to do many strenuous things. last night my baby was up through the entire night cutting teeth. then today i had to shovel snow....and take care of the kids due to a snowday. so now the whole left side of my body hurts. i know it's because i need to sleep. does this sound normal to you?

As previously mentioned i have the following problem. I have knee pain in both knees on the outsides of each kneecap. When running i can sometimes feel a crunch with severe pain. Also standing for long periods can cause pain.... the pain comes and goes and some days are better then others..... to me the pain seems to be more from bone then soft tissue.

Now recently the pain is also more noticable on the inner lower part of the knee cap of both knees... I played contact sports for over 16 years.
Any ideas what it may be?
