What can I do at home to relieve back pain that has been reoccuring in my lower back (tailbone area). I don't know whether to ice it, heat it, stab it (lol) it hurts so bad just to wash dishes. I had a masseuse work on it last week and it went away! YAY! For like three days! It's back and with a vengeance. I don't understand. I fell like I'm to young to be suffering from back pain. I'm already taking anti-inflammatories and pain killer's the doc gave me. Don't know what else to. My house is a mess cause I'm afraid to do anything.

I have moderate to severe knee and back pain. I am a waitress, and it is necessary to take medication so I can get through my shift (usually 7 hours on my feet). I am prescribed vicodin however only 5mg/500 with the maximum dose not to exceed more than 2 tablets a day. I have to take 2 every 4 hours just to make it through work. My doctor won't prescribe me a higher dose or more pills because she is affraid I will become addicted. Some people take pills every day to keep their heart, blood pressure, diabetes,...etc. regulated. So what if I have to take something for my pain to be relieved so I can get though work. Can anyone recommend an alternative to the vicodin. She has prescribed 50mg. of Ultram to reduce my vicodin intake however, it just doesn't help, the same goes for advil or aleve.

I have been experiencing pain in my upper left arm just above the elbow. It is a sickening achy feeling that seems to be coming from deep within the bone. It seems to come in waves that start out mild and then increase to quite painful - then diminish again. This happens for about a half hour. During these times, I am at rest and I did not do anything just before to injure my arm or exert myself in any way. I don't have chest pain, palpatations, or diaphorisis during these episodes. Yeah, I know I should go to the doctor, but I was wondering if this type of pain could be related to upper back pain. I have been going to a physical therapist and a chiropractor for back issues related to scoliosis for a while now. I'm REALLY sick of doctors and would really like to just blow this arm pain thing off.

Okay just a quick question for any doctors or people clued up on the body.

The right hand side of my neck is in agony and it is swollen. I find swallowing anything at all quite painful. The pain spreads from my adams apple to my ear. Anyone know what it could be?

I have a doctors appointment on wednesday.

Thanks

Has anyone had a sort of cramp in which the muscle beneath your armpit got cramped after raising your arm too fast or high? Just wondering cause I got it yesterday and I thought it might be something else.

This just started this month while I was laying in bed one morning, my ear started ringing really loudly... I thought it would stop, which it did later on, but it comes back and is a little longe lasting each time. Now I can hear it and it's pretty loud compared to the ringing sensations I used to get. I can still hear fine, and it's not worrying me too much, but does anyone know what this? Also I don't do concerts or anything that often and I dont think my music in my car is too loud. HELP!
