I had surgery last Wednesday to remove a bone spur on my collarbone and had already expected to be sick from the anesthesia most of the day of the surgery. But I'm still getting headaches that are sometimes making me nauseous and the only thing I can do to get rid of them is go to sleep.I'm getting them a few times a day.I have had surgery twice before, both surgeries worse then this previous one and didn't have the same problem.Has anybody else ever had this problem or know if it's normal?

Anybody subscribe to the idea that fibromyalgia is worsened by artificial sweetners? I thought it was a bunch or bologna. I ran out of diet drinks for a week and I was bouncing back there for awhile. What do you think? Anybody out there with FM that has any tips on coping with the pain?

My husband had a hip revision 1 week ago. Yesterday he felt a pop on the side of his hip but could still walk and it hurt. Physical therapy was here today and said he would know if it came out of place and did his therapy. Tonight he felt a pop in the groin with severe pain. We called the surgeon who said it may be an adhesion and to rest and call him in the morning. He tried to walk and cannot. Right now he has no pain lying down but has severe pain in groin area when moving any. There is no swelling, incision looks good, good pulse in foot. Does this sound like an adhesion?

i have had severe back pain for several months now. i recently had an mri done and went to my doctor today for the results. she told me that i have severalbuldged disks but that is normal for a person my age<29> and that from what she has seen on the mri i shouldnt have as much pain as i say i have . then she did a resistence test on my legs and i was unable to raise my left leg against the resistence of her hand. again she insisted that the mri didnt suggest anything that would cause leg weakness.. i guess what it all boils down to is that she is calling me a liar, and saying i am faking symptoms to get pain meds, but that is not true i do have severe chronic pain, and it keeps me from participating in normal daily activities someone give me a suggestion or at least tell me if the buldged disks are normal or capable of causing my pain then i will consider finding a new doctor or at least reporting my findings to my current doctor to see what she has to say

I have major hip pain! My parents are out of town and my sister won't take me to the doctor(she's 22). It hurts so bad I wanna cry sometimes. WHEN I GO BACK TO SCHOOL I AM GOING TO SEE A TEACHER I HAD IN 3RD GRADE(IM IN 8TH GRADE NOW). HE USED TO BE A SPORTS INJUR DOCTOR(HE DIDNT GET HIS LICENSE TAKEN AWAY. JUST WANTED TO TEACH INSTEAD). SHOULD I ASK HIM ABOUT IT? MAYBE ASK HIM TO TAKE A QUICK LOOK? IT HURTS SO BAD AND I KNOW MY SISTER WON'T TAKE ME TO A DOCTOR. I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY PARENTS.

I've had a bit of a problem with a tightening feeling on the back of my left leg from the knee down. It only happens late at night, after I've fallen asleep. It's a serious pain and it feels like a tendon just decides to tighten up. It only happens every so often, but I'd like to stop it altogether. Occasionaly it tightens so bad it's hard to walk on my left leg the next day. I want to know what is going on and how can I prevent it from happening? Thanks alot

I've had tendonitis in my left knee for about 3 years. Recently I hurt my lower back and went to the doctor for both problems. I've been to therapists and taken lots of medicine, but nothing has worked. Now I'm experiencing severe pain in my left hip, knee, and calf muscle. Sometimes my entire lower left leg goes numb. I don't want to go back to the doctor because they have only wasted my time and money. Does anyone have any suggestions on what could be the problem with my leg and what I can do about it? Thanks.

I have suffered from chronic back pain for three years now. I am 31, not overweight, and did not have an injury! I had disc replacement surgury on L4-5 about a year and a half ago with no success. Discography shows that the L5-S1 is not healthy and may be the cause of continued pain. In the past few months I have developed left leg pain and numbness with very bad hip pain as well. This stabbing in my left side (on the back) has just happened and is just aweful when I wake up in the morning. No position helps! Is this a muscle? I can locate it straight away with my left hand reaching back and it hurts to the touch. Any ideas?
