Will a heating pad work? What medication can I take? I'm 25 and have had this pain since I woke up this morning. It hurts to move around, sit, and stand. WHAT DO I DO?

Sorry to keep adding details... the pain is like a really bad ache... if i touch the area where it hurts it sort of feels like a bruise, but even when i'm not touching it, if i move or sit a certain way it KILLS! It wasn't there yesterday, and it's driving me crazy. I don't remember doing anything to pull a muscle... It could be my kidneys, I have been peeing a lot more than usual today...

Doan's back pain relief is a miracle drug. If the pain persists after a few days then hit up a doctor. As for heat or cold, I'm not sure, I've heard both. hopefully someone on here can be more helpful, but definitely try the Doan's and to sleep they should have doan's backpain nighttime or just go with Tylenol PM.

Serious pain like this requires medical attention. In the meantime take 2 Tylenol, and lay on your back on the bed for about a half hour. If the pain is still there at the end of that time with no relief get to the doctor. You may have pulled a muscle somehow, it's hard to say.

Could be Kidney stones, my daughter had that a few months ago. If you cannot go to the doctors for some reason then drink lots of liquids you need to push the stones out, the pain/nausea is caused by the stones moving down the Urinary tract.

When the stones come out, small and red looks like a spec of blood the pain subsides until the next stone is ready to exit. You can take Tylenol for the pain.

Go see your doctor. You could have a UTI. Urinary track infection. Usually when you have one, you do urinate much. The pain could be a anything from a pulled muscle to kindeys. Take some tylenol and see if it helps. I wouldn't use any other kind of medicine. You know-sometimes as you age-you just get more pains...and as a woman..your back may be telling you something. PMS has about 20 different symtoms, and yes, back pain can be one of them. If the pain persists for more than 3 days, don't wait to see your doctor. If you have to, go to urgent care. Your doctor can give you a perscription for you, and let you know what it is. I wouldn't go to the ER though. They don't want people unless they are dying. Hope you feel better.

It could be a kidney infection or a muscle spasm. You need to see the doctor in the morning if you still have this as sudden pain is not normal. Take aspirin and use a heating pad for a bout 25min. at a time

you may have a bladder infection...that can cause low back pain....or you could have strained a muscle......drink lots of water or cranberry juice for a bladder infection....if you strained a muscle the only thing that will cure it is to not over stress the muscle.....a heating pad will take away the pain for the time being but it will likely make the muscle worse in the long run.....but if its a bladder infection it will help and there is no harm in it.....take 800 mg of Ibuprofen and if it hurts worse tomorrow or you start running a fever go see your doctor.

Have you done anything to pull your back? Could well be a back muscle pulled, strained or a disc problem. If it is more internal such as a kidney it is more of a throb type pain usually. Either way, seek medical attention. Soak in a hot bath might feel better.

If it is getting worse go to the ER, a heating will give some relief if it is muscle. Motrin or Advil will help with the pain.

sometimes it can be your mattress, you will need a good bed to sleep on even if the cost is high it will be worth sleeping on..and sometimes it can be lack of excercise,or muscle spasms..what you should do is go to a chiropractor and see what th problem is i usually take aleve(2) tablets..and it will knock out my pain..make sure if you go to the doctor that they do a complete physical, because some doctors have a tendency of just going by word of mouth and just prescribe something..i hate to se you go back to a doctor for the same reason...lol
