About a week ago my wrist started a hurt a little. I didn't think much of it. Then it started to travel to my hand. Now my wrist doesn't hurt but my hand only. I thought it was going away but then I woke up this morning and it is almost unbearable. I can't open a can of soda...open a jar of spagetti, or lift anything. It also feels like it could be swollen. Most of the pain is in my thumb and in the palm area below my thumb, but it's basically my entire hand. What could this be? I'm not gonna go to the ER this weekend for it, but I may just have to get it checked, so I know this. But I'd like to have an idea of what it could be. I know it's impossible to diagnos me...just want some ideas. Maybe I can find some solutions to temperarily help my pain. I am 22 years old I kindad doubt it's arthritis. I did break my thumb, but that was casted and healed like a decade ago! Any ideas?

Can anyone seriously help me? It's with me through school and work, day and night, morning to morning, pain scale 8 on a good day, crying myself to sleep on others. I seriously could use any good advise. And please don't just tell me to see another doctor or something, I've been through 6, with no luck. Neurologists, Osteopaths, Pediatricians when I was young, nothing.

I am 28 wks pregnant and I have had a headache for a week straight. My doctor prescribed tylenol with codeine for the pain and I wanted to know if anyone has heard of negative effects on unborn baby. I only ask because my doctor prescribed a medication a few weeks ago that she said was perfectly safe and when I got home the prescription said that it had been known to cause harm to unborn babies.... if anyone has any information please help!!

My girlfriend has been having chest pains right behind her left breast. The pain started in her chest Saturday night, moved down her left arm, and on Tuesday there was a sharp pain in her chest behind her left breast. She also has trouble breathing when the pain gets really bad.

She doesn't have stomach sickness or pain anywhere else. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

I have had this problem for about 4 years now, but i never say anything because i thought i was just out of shape. But it is starting to get worse. After just one day of working, when i get home, i have a very hard time standing up or even walking because my legs, back, feet, etc hurt so much. What another person can do in 1 week to have sore muscles only takes 1 day for me. Getting up in the morning is almost crippling to me becausei hurt so much, i have to walk on my tip-toes and crouched over. Its getting worse each year. I take vitamins everyday, and eat healthy, and get plenty of exercise. I dont understand why my muscles are so sensitive and they hurt even if i just go to the store for a few hours. Its interfering with my life, and making me really tired as well. All i want to do is sleep because it hurts to do anything else. Someone poked my arm the other day, and it realy really hurt, and they thought i weas just kidding. It left a bruise too, and the person barely touched me.
