About a week ago I sprained my back and the muscle spasms have been awful. The Dr. gave me really cool meds but they make me stupid anybody got a good cure.

yes i think you should use anti inflamitory. you should also go to a chiropractor and explain what is wrong. stretch, rest, drink plenty of water.put some ice or a heating pack on your lower back. try not to worry about it. it just makes it worse.I know from personal experience.

Prolonged physiotherapy, ultrasound, chiropractic. The muscle spasms should diminish within a few weeks and then you can go to an antiinflammatory that will not affect you so strongly. You are probably on a strong muscle relaxant or pain medication right now but that should be short term. Good luck! Back injuries are a bummer.

First I suggest you use an anti-inflammatory medicine such as Ibuprofen, NOT acetaminophen. Try using a heating pad too. This will take time to heal but if there is no improvement go see your doctor again as he may need to check to see that there are no vertebrae out of place. If he issued muscle relaxers then take them as prescribed. Good luck!
