I have a pain on my left side just under my rib cage. Could it be that I may have Spingallion Hernia? What else is there to hurt in that area? My intestines???Irritable Bowel???Chrohns??? Thank you for your help

Upper left quandrant pain can be associated with many illness.In my experience some of the most common ailments in that area are linked to.Pancreatitis, GERD, and Mass of the small bowel. Irritable bowel would have other contributing symptoms that would make it more readily identifiable. If it was a hernia more than likely there would be tenderness and swelling.Only a doctor can diagnose your symptoms.Most of these ailments can easily be identified by a simple blood test or a G.I.Good Luck
