I personally use Unisom or the generic brand that is comparable, all that is in there is the same active ingredient that is in Benadryl. I usually take 2 of the unisom it takes about an hour to kick in. As far as a migraine medication, I have taken 800mg of over the counter ibuprofenwhich comes in 200mg tablets so I take 4 and that has seemed to help. Also I have used those patches called well-patch migrane cooling headache pads and those help too. I personally would not take that much ibuprofen without consulting a doctor first. Go to these sites for infromation on the products, also for future reference the well-patches that heat up work well on back too.

At a drug store.
The only non-prescription drug that is sold as a sleeping medicine is dyphenhydramine (generic Benedryl). It's sold as Sominex, etc., and is the sleeping ingredient in meds like Tylenol PM and Advil PM, etc. You can buy generic Benedryl to help you fall asleep. It doesn't work for everybody.
Excedrine has a Migraine formula, but there's nothing special about it. I think it contains caffiene. There's Acetaminophen (Tylenol) and ibuprofen (Advil/Motrin). That's about it. If otc meds don't help your migraine or you still can't sleep, then see a doctor.
Good Luck.
