Pain & Pain Management - November 2006

I have never had knee pain in my life. Ive always been an active person up until now. Im 30 and in the last 3 or 4 month i have been suffering realy sore knees. It becomes realy painful that im finding it hard to go up stairs. Can anyone help or does anyone have a solution.? please help

For the past two weeks, when I've been lying in bed at night, sudden sharp pains have come on in the back of my head. They last about ten minutes at a time and occur most nights. I haven't taken any paracetamol for the pain as I'm concerned they'll make it worse. I'm not sure whether to see a doctor about it...should I be worried??

It keeps popping and clicking, someone told me it was trapped nitrogen gas bubbles, etc. It is uncomfortable and the pain flares up sometimes.
Will it go away?

well for the past 8 months I have been having really bad knee pain. Ive already had a knee surgery when i was 17 years old. im now 23 and both my knees hurt more then they did before I had my surgery. They have been locking up and giving out. They also feel warm on the outer part of my knee cap. Ive been in so much pain that ive been blacking out from time to time.
damn I cant wait until friday when I go to the docs

I slept on my neck wrong..and i have had a pain in it since sunday....Sunday i had a headache so i took tylenol but now my headache is gone but the pain is still there it hurts to turn my neck one way and keeps me up at night...i don't know what to do any sugestions?

I am having pretty bad low back/side pain since Monday. It first started out on my side just above my right iliac spine but is now more on the back side at the gluteus medius. Its hard to sit down and I can lay on my left side even though the pain is on the right side. Im taking iburprofen 800mg three times a day but there are times that I can't sit or lay and Im just teary eyed. I feel like its an alignment thing and would give anything to just pop my low back back into place. Please help.

It's like a sharp stabbing pain that lasts around 2 secs. But it comes back again a day after or something. I hope this isnt serious or maybe it's just because i lay on my left side a lot?

ive had this for about a few months. i went to a chiropractor twice, she realligned my neck but it came back. the problem is my neck always feels stiff so i have to urge to crack it so it gets worse. is there a way i can stop moving my neck because it is so addicting.

I have been sick for about 2 years and i recently had surgery i was just diagnosed with mild AA arthrits and i have bone abnormalities and scoliosis in my servical spine i hurt everyday and i have to wait a month to be cleared for physical therapy. i need help with ideas of stretching and anything to releave the pain. And it is also my muscles that are atraphing towards my bones

My Doctor gave me a rigid neck brace to wear to help with a herniated disc in my neck, I am suppose to wear it until I go back to the Doctor in 3 weeks. He said I really needed to completely rest my neck and give the nerves that are irritated a chance to heal. I think it may be helping but it is hard to tell. Does this treatment sound right ? I am suppose to start physical therapy next week.

My dad is in a rock band, and he said that while he was playing, he had an extreme headache like never before, and now he's burning up a bit.

My upper back has been uncomfortable for about 2 months now. It is close to my shoulder blade but it doesn't hurt. I am just always umcomfortable. What could it be? I have went to a chiropractor and i am constantly trying to get my back popped or get a massuage cause it feels so bad. My job required me to wear kevlar vests and helmet but its not all the time. Help!

Sometimes, I will get a sharp pain, or not so sharp, right above the crotch area but below the stomach. I am chubby, and the last time I felt these pains were after eating at a restaraunt. Is it eating too much? Or is it something much worse?

I have been on every pain killer you could think of and now my doctor has me on methadone which I did not want to be on and for 5 months it has been working until about a week ago and when I went to him I told him I did not want to be on them any more, And I tried the fentinal patch which is stronger then moriphine and it is not working after 2 weeks still NOT working so I will have to go back on the methadone, but I have heard so many bad things about this drug it scares me, What else is out there that will help?.... and for the record I have had 3 doctors tell me they will not touch by neck it is too risky of a surgery and they will not even do the epideral shots again because it is too risky I have Degenerative disc disease and cervical disc disease, and scoliosis, Please can anyone help me? Any suggestions for my appointment this friday?

My fiance came home around 8:45 tonight . He could barely drive home because he said he had bad cramps . Well , he went and layed down on the bed and I gave him a heating pad(didn't help) , he passed gas a couple of times and burped numurous times but yet no relief . Now he is extreme pain , his voice is trembling when he talks . The pain is located in the 'bread-basket' . When he breathes out, it causes him and great deal of pain !!


Please Help ! I would be obliged to anyone that could give me some advice !
