You are probably addicted if you have been on it for a month.

If you stop taking it cold turkey you might have some kind of withdrawls. I was lucky when I took it years ago and just stopped and had no problems but now am back on it for severe back pain and back problems. I would recommend slowly going off of it so you dont have any sort of withdrawls. Everyone reacts differently to pain meds and as someone has stated that doesnt mean you are addicted to hydrocodone at all, you are just taking proper steps to get yourself off of it. Don't hesitate to speak with your doctor if you have any kind of questions while doing this. He/she will be more than willing to help you out. Good luck and hope all goes well.

Be aware that everyone reacts differently to medications so you may not experience any, but chances are you will. You may get a sick feeling, chills, nausea, achiness, just a general yuck feeling when you don't take the meds like you had in the past.

Try to wean yourself off slowly if you find this to happen. AND NO, THIS BY NO MEANS SAYS THAT YOU ARE "ADDICTED" TO THE MEDICATION. And anyone who tells you that you are is a bona fide idiot. Your body has become "accustomed" to having a certain level of this med in in, and there are side effects that you "may" have if your body doesn't get this. That's all. You're "therapeutic", not "addicted". Please, if anyone tells you otherwise...send them back to school.

There is no way to know. People react to meds differently. No harm in lowering your dose over a few days though.
