Sharp, shooting pain is characteristic of nerve pain. Depending on the exact location, you could have trigeminal neuralgia, occipital neuralgia, or some other neuralgia or neuritis. you might want to see a neurologist.
I have Trigeminal Neuralgia and it tends to give pain only on the right side of my face
Any sharp paind in the head could have a chance of being neurological get it checked out best of Luck.

Sharp head pains are not often normal but may not be serious at all, you said they last for 10 minutes, that is quite a long time. I'd say that any sort of recurring head pain should be checked out, you should see your doctor so that s/he can give you a diagnosis and thus give you medication to treat it. Don't be too worried, this could make it worse. Just make an appointment with the doctor, and see what the outcome is...I know it can be daunting, but please see you doctor.
All the best, take care

Of course you should be worried. Any pain in the head is an indication of something wrong. Could be your SATS are very low which means you aren't getting enough oxygen in the bloodstream and from there into the brain, which reacts with your present condition of head pain. Get to a doctor and get your SATS checked. Simple enough test. Let them take it from there and do not take any medication which could disguise the symptoms before you see the doctor. Good luck.

Better see the doctor to make sure that every-thing's OK, don't worry as it could be connected with unwinding after a busy day and you'll get advice and help. You may like to check that if you have a partner, he's not hitting you in the head with a baseball bat or sticking pins in you first though, as this would be something to worry about.

So many pains can mimic different problems, If you and your man are worried about it, the only person who could check you over or run tests of any kind would be a doc. I can relate to the (I can't afford it part, but it might be worth the money to find out what's really goin on. Hope it's nothing serious.

2 weeks seems to be a decent amount of time for it to pass on it's own. If you are under ongoing stress, that could be a factor but better to see a doctor and be done with the pain. And if you have paracetamol you must have other issues, so I wouldn't waste time and guess.

Ask your doctor about an exercise routine. Regular exercise, such as walking three times a week, may reduce neuropathy pain, improve your muscle strength and help control blood sugar levels. Gentle routines such as yoga and tai chi might also help.
