Yes they can, however not all narcotics are tested and it depends upon what type of test you will be given.

For instance the standard NIDA-5 only tests for 5 drugs and while opiates are tested it is only certain ones. In this test they are looking for morphine and it's metabolites. Medications such as morphine, Heroin, Codeine, Hydromorphone will show up in this test. However medications such as Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Darvon, Fentanyl will not show up with this test as they are not broken down into morphine and need more advanced tests for detection

Yes they do. Also be aware that many over the counter meds like cold medications and lots of supplements can also cause false positive results when they drug test via urine.

Prescription pain killers do. But tylenol or over the counter drugs don't.

they show up as opiates which is what heroin shows up as. i am not sure how long they stay in the system.
