I've never had this condition before, I'm 21 years old. March is when I had problems and the doc found an external one. I've taken fiber on and off and suppositories, too, but I'm miserable. Just so painful I could cry when I go to the bathroom. (Btw, is having a baby worse than this?) I haven't taken the fiber 2x/day like doc says, because that leaves me running to the bathroom. I didn't adhere to docs orders. Is there a way to make it better or did I let it go too far? 6 months later and they are way worse than in the beginning. Throughout the 6 months it's been on and off, but the pain is now at a 10.

A friend of mine says her dentist will not allow her to go back to the dental examining room with her kids. They "make" her stay in the waiting room. The kids are back there for way longer than needs be. She's wondering about the laws involving children under 18. (They are only 10 and 12)

Also, what are the laws about dr appts. and going in with your child? Thanks!

I'm the kind of person who needs 10 hours of sleep at night - unfortunately, I get closer to 5 or 6 because my boyfriend and I work different schedules. Usually, I just sleep a good 12 hours each night over the weekend & I'm fine during the week. This isn't the case this week though. Even on the weekend I felt the need to take a nap - it wasn't just that I felt sleepy, but that I couldn't keep my eyes open for anything. Yesterday i refused to take a nap, knowing I'd have to come to work today and wanted to get good rest at night. That didn't happen. As soon as I went to bed, I coudln't sleep. Mind wasn't racing or anything like that, I just couldn't get to sleep - then when I did, I couldn't stay asleep.
Now I'm starting to feel drowsy again. What can I do to stop this cycle & make it through the day?

Ok, I don't need a lecture! It's very silly of me to go out drinking on a Sunday night knowing full well I have to get up at 5 for work! I am suffering now, I feel sick and dizzy and really want to go back to bed but I am at work until 4 now and I'm not sure I'm going to last the day.
What shall I do? I haven't got any paracetamol, I don't think I'd be able to keep them down anyway!

My dad is having really bad nosebleeds that last approximately 10 minutes each time. He has recently had 3 strokes, he has high blood pressure, congestive heart failure and sciatica. He takes a myriad of medications to treat these conditions.

We live in Nevada, dry climate but he's been living here for 12 years and has never had nosebleeds. If a nurse or someone in the medical profession could answer this I would greatly appreciate any advice.

I'm starting my third week as a college junior, but this is my first time living in dorms since I transferred to a new school. Before, I lived with my parents.

Now I have freedom to do a lot of things that I couldn't before.

I'm in a suite with 6 other girls. My suitemate's boyfriend doesn't go to school here, but he comes every weekend. He's been bringing alcohol. These are really my first experiences being drunk. We aren't crazy. We all know each other. Only 6 female suitemates, me and my suitemate's BF are here, so it's a pretty relaxed, safe environment. I''m not worried about drugs/sex, and people look out for me and make sure I don't drink too much.

The problem is, this is my 2nd weekend in a row getting drunk. We had SoCo and coke last week, and whiskey/Coke this week.

Next week suitemate's BF says he's bringing beer and malted liquor.

I feel like I should say no, but the problem is, I want to. It's fun... but on the other hand.... I don't want to be an alcoholic.

I keep getting a cramp or 'charlie horse' in my upper left thigh, sort of to the back and side. I will just be sitting or standing and it will happen. It lasts a few seconds and then stops, but comes back every couple of minutes. It doesn't happen when I am lying down. I have some mild low back pain too but no problem walking, bending, etc. I've had no injury. I'm in decent but not great shape and my overall health is good. What could this be??

I recently got a new prescription of progressive lens (had them before) but this is a change. One eye is more distorted than the other, does this mean the Dr. made a mistake or the optician that did the measurements ?

Ok I know that I have an ulcer but I haven't been to the doctor for it yet. Well tonight I have been having really bad pains in the pit of my stomach that will come and go.. mostly for about a minute or 2 and they will subside and come back about 10 mins later or so. The pain radiates from my stomach to my back and throat. It also feels like I have a lump in my throat a little bit. It hurts pretty bad and I have taken some antaicids and drank alot of water. I am pretty sure its my ulcer... what do you think?
