I don't know about America but it will sure screw me over. I have spent forty years working toward retirement and now that I have done it the rules will change and I'll be in the same boat as someone like my brother-in-law who has been on welfare for almost as long as I have been working.
Two things are for damn sure. One I would NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER vote for any socialized medicine program I have ever seen or heard of. Two, I will never be asked; some socialist will jam it down my throat.
Canada is held up as a role model. It takes 16 to 18 weeks to see a specialist. Canadians with money seek medical care in the US. They literally flood clinics near the border. Private health insurance is unlawful. Doctors and other medical professionals are the largest group of criminals in Canada. They exchange services and break the law in the process.
I have heard Cuba held up as another model. When Castro got sick they called in specialists from Spain.
Socialized medicine costs more and provides less. For the first year or so it is fine but what happens when that massive amount of capital is consumed. The diagnostic equipment stagnates and 15 years later it is still in use and 15 years obsolete.
I am certain of one thing; if my family had been living under socialized medicine like Canada or Cuba has every damn one of them over 65 would be dead. I think everyone in my extended family has had open heart surgery. In fact my mother-in-law had hers just recently. She was referred to a specialist on Monday morning and had her surgery at 7:00 AM Tuesday morning. I may be fibbing; I don't really remember what day of the week it was only that she was in recovery in just over 24 hours after seeing her primary. You see, she didn't have 18 weeks to live; her life expectance was being measured in hours not weeks or months.
No thanks; I hope anyone who wants this crap has it put somewhere that the sun can’t reach and only an enema can correct.

Over 49 million people in the USA do not have any type of health insurance. I think it would be a good thing for America. It's hell that you have to have money to take care of any medical problems. If your broke you're just out of luck.

That's a very good question. If the politicians would stop taking bribes from lobbyists, we might someday find out.
