Ok, I don't need a lecture! It's very silly of me to go out drinking on a Sunday night knowing full well I have to get up at 5 for work! I am suffering now, I feel sick and dizzy and really want to go back to bed but I am at work until 4 now and I'm not sure I'm going to last the day.
What shall I do? I haven't got any paracetamol, I don't think I'd be able to keep them down anyway!

Plenty of fluids like water, avoid fizzy drinks because these often contain phosphoric acid which dehydrates you, these include drinks like Cola, Lemonade, Lucozade, Irn bru etc.
Taking paracetamol is a bad idea also as this only masks the pain and in your dehydrated state an overdose situation can occur and paracetamol overdose is very dangerous and can lead to liver failure.
Eat some ting to take away the sick feeling, avoid greasy foods, sugary foods as these will suppress your appetite, so a few slices of DRY toast will do you more good than a greasy spoon slap up.
Unfortunately for us chocolate lovers, it isn't the best cure to have our daily dose of chocolate...
Good Luck

I worked in a pub for many years. A remedy that USED to be sold was 'FERNA BRANCA' Iv no idea what was in it, but it returned a cure almost immediately.
Another way is to drink a glass of what you were drinking last night straight off and get a second one and drink it slowly

That also worked.
Iv never tried either of these as Iv never had a hangover. But from the feedback, both remedies worked well and quickly
Good Luck.
I know I never had hangover, but I have had headache, and Iv had nausia before, and neither are pleasant...
I hope to goodness you feel much better soon

You are dehydrated from the alcohol and that means your salt/sugar balance may be off too. Try some toast and honey--just small bites, chewed slowly. Toast and marmite (full of B vitamins) can also help. Sipping water is also vital. Chemists sell a product called Resolve --for the morning after--which you dissolve in water and drink--but I find it can make you nauseous if you take it on an empty stomach. Good luck.

My best hangover cure is to avoid one. Before going to bed, drink two or three large glasses of water real quick and right after one another. Don't go to the washroom, just go right to bed. Let your body absorb all of that water into your kidneys and the only thing that you'll wake up with, is a real urge to go pee.

A hair off the dog that bit you helps. But when that failed I used to go to Taco Tico and get refried beans on chips with hot sauce and cheese. It worked everytime until I got an ulcer.
Then a friend told me about Gaviscon. I thought it was just another antacid like Tums. But she told me they used it at the Detox Center to sober the guys up AND prevent hangovers. It used to require a prescription. That stuff is fantastic.
A Virgin Mary helps too. Not the religious one. lol! The alcohol free version of Bloody Mary.
My FIL always made toast with ALOT of butter to eat if he knew he'd be out drinking. No matter how drunk he got he never had a hangover.

being sick may be a good thing,
you need bread or biscuits something that will soak up the left over booze in your guts,
the best cure in the world is this.
make sure the last thing you drink on a night time is a cup a tea or coffee and eat two slices a toast, you will not suffer the next day trust me

Sip you way through a large galss of aorange juice and bibble your way through a bar of chocolate. That way you are combating the dehydration, the low blood sugar and the lack of vitamin c which are the actualk cause of a hangover. My friends do not belive it untill theytry it. Works every time.

They have this stuff at Walgreen's called chaser medicine. I forget the actual name, but it's specifically for hangovers. I suggest you try that later, and make sure to drink lots of water. If not you will get dehydrated from the alchohol.

Most significantly, rehydration. Sone vitamins or supplements would be good, and paracetamol would be helpful, but if nobody at work has paracetamol, then I doubt they will have a bunch of B-12 in their pocket
